I am not that tech-savvy so I'm going to try and include everything possible.

I am currently looking into a new gaming laptop. My current laptop is an Alienware r3 17 from 2016 (been absolutely horrible since day 1). I have an Nvidia GTX 980m, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6820HK CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.70 GHz, 32GB ram (not sure if relevant but have intel(R) HD Graphics 530). 17.3 inch UHD (3840 x 2160) IG ZO IPS Anti-Glare 400-nits Display (60hz I think). Any game I play on this Alienware sucks. I mainly play wow and can't stand it. In certain scenarios, I can get as low as 2 fps. My computer also runs very hot with fans at 100% - it gave me blisters on my thigh and melted a mobile surface (only a little but still a problem) I use on my bed. I have it under control with a cooling pad and a fan next to me. Fan noise is not an issue for me.

Currently, I am in between two laptops and would appreciate some insight and/or suggestions.

This is on the website xoticpc.com I have also looked at Falcon-NW but was turned off by it when I had no option for thermal paste.
