Are you open to refurbs/used?
maybe if they have a good track record
How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?
build quality > battery life > performance
How important is weight and thinness to you?
Im looking for a portable laptop that I can connect to my desktop comfortably anywhere, so pretty important.
Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.
14" < preferably but if its a lighter 15.6" with decent battery life im open.
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
it will do some pretty heavy lifting on chrome(im a filthy tabber) and some school work but gaming will be offloaded to my desktop via apps.
If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
If it can play valorant/csgo directly that would be pretty neat but not a requirement.
Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
a good keyboard and decent build quality .
finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.
This will be a daily driver, but any heavy computing will be done by a remote desktop. the lighter and thinner the better, i want to be able to use this on the couch and on the go. say take it to a friends house for a lan party instead of my beafy desktop. Or take it to class and not have to sit next to an outlet. also because its a thing now potentially be able to do some virtual learning.
