Post Body

  • Total budget and country of purchase: United States, $400 *

Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Mostly specifications for the money. The number one requirement from the wife is a touchscreen*

How important is weight and thinness to you? Previous weight was 3.6 pounds (a Inspiron 13 7000 Series Special Edition), so something around there would be great. My wife has to carry it around in a bag (she's a teacher), so something on the thin side would be good. *

Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. Windows- *

Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. 13 inches *

Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. Wife uses Grading software, microsoft office and google docs. If possible, she's interested in learning Adobe Indesign, but if that piece of software pushes it out of our price range, understood- *

If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? No Gaming *

Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? -Touchscreen, backlit keyboard- *

Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. Nope, she's a teacher, just needs something durable that's not gonna fall apart like her Dell.
