Post Body

* **Total budget and country of purchase:** $1000-$1500 (Preferably on the cheaper side); USA * **Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply.** 2 in 1 is always nice, but not necessary (two on a scale of ten for must have (ten being most necessary)). Because I will be traveling around with it, a good battery life is 8/10 on the must-have scale. Obviously I want a good bang for my buck so probably also an 8/10 for value. * **How important is weight and thinness to you?** I'm going to be carrying this around campus so preferably light and thin. I used to have a macbook air, so that weight is nice; so anything between 2-5 lbs. I would put weight as a 9/10 and thinness as a 7/10 Side note: a thin bezel is always attractive and make a cpu lighter, so yeah... that would be good too. * **Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux.** Windows please- * **Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.** Anything between 11"-15" is good, but I would prefer it to be around 13". * **Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.** Yes, as an engineering student, plan to run autoCAD or solidworks * **If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?** N/A * **Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?** A good keyboard is a 7/10. Reliable build is 9/10 need- I have butter fingers and tend to drop things. Touchscreen is nice; especially because I like to draw in my free time: 4/10. Finger print reader isn't necessary; I had one on an old laptop and it worked like shit (maybe because I had no idea how to use it though...). Drives don't matter that much as long as it can hold enough stuff.Input devices don't really matter if it has a good keyboard and trackpad. * **Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.** I'm heading off to college next year and plan to pursue BME (Biomedical engineering), so something that has good processing power and storage for the programs/software are a 10/10 must.
