- Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications to your requirements for the money? Pick or include any that apply.
I hook my current laptop (old $300 i5 asus) to two 25" monitors for trading stocks and working from home. It's just old and gets bogged down now. I'm looking for something that can run 2 to 3 screens. I'm not opposed to getting a docking station of some sort. I realize that a desktop is best suited for this however I need to be able to pick up and go (work) when needed.
Number pad is needed. Prefer something that doesn't feel cheap, in my experience build quality makes me feel better about the product. I'm kind of rough on them too.
Would love a 2 in 1, but to use in TeeP mode when connected to other screens. Battery life not crucial.
How important is weight to you? Not crucial
Which OS do you require? Windows, Linux, Mac. Windows
Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. 15"
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. If you have no requirements, put N/A.
On a standard day I'll be running my Business software, chrome browser with a bunch of tabs, Active Trader Pro, 6 stock chart windows and a small Bloomberg news window. Excel is up sometimes as well.
- If you're gaming (leave blank if you put N/A above...), do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
Light gaming possible, not necessary, figured I might need discreet graphics so may as well leave the option available.
- Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable business grade build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
Number pad on keyboard, good build quality.
- Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.
So I really like the HP spectre x360's. I'm not sure if they will be able to handle all of the screens or not.
If possible, I'd like to get something available at bestbuy, I have a 0% APR card there. Not a huge deal if not.
Not opposed to open box or returns if the price is right.
Please no laptops with lights all over them. I bought an Asus Strix not realizing it had lights on it and returned it. It can be a gaming laptop, just want to be able to carry it into a meeting without being embarrassed.
Even guidance on what specs I need would be great. Thanks for the help!
