Looking for a laptop for Xbox Play Anywhere/Civ 6 (USA, under $1000 would be great, but up to $1500, in all likelihood)

Post Body

  • Total budget and country of purchase: Probably around 1500 dollars, but I'd like to pay less. In the USA

  • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications to your requirements for the money? Pick or include any that apply. I'd probably like specs better. The more I think about it, the more likely I'll be plugged in more.

  • How important is weight to you? Portability is very important to me. But I mean, as long as it's not a brick, I'm probably okay with it

  • Which OS do you require? Windows, Linux, Mac. Windows

  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. N/A

  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. If you have no requirements, put N/A. Xbox Play Anywhere games such as Gears of War, ReCore, Forza, etc. And Civ 6. I'd imagine I'd be open to other Steam games and such, but right now those are my priorities.

  • If you're gaming (leave blank if you put N/A above...), do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? The best, or near the best, would be great. I had to play Civ V on the lowest settings, and that broke my heart quite a bit.

  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable business grade build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Not especially.

  • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. Overall I appreciate everyone's help. I'm pretty ignorant about technology and specifications and stuff like this, I just really want to run Civ well and be able to bring my laptop back home with me to play Xbox games.
