Post Body

  • Total budget and country of purchase: Under $400. Buying in the Philippines.

  • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications to your requirements for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Battery Life and Specs.

  • How important is weight to you? Kinda important I guess. Usually I carry it in my backpack so I don't want it to be too heavy.

  • Which OS do you require? Windows, Linux, Mac. Windows

  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. N/A

  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. If you have no requirements, put N/A. N/A

  • If you're gaming (leave blank if you put N/A above...), do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? N/A

  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable business grade build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Nope

  • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. I posted this in /r/philippines so I'm just gonna copy/paste.

My 6 year old laptop finally gave way and I'm looking for a new one. Budget is around P10-20K (approx US$200-400). I just want a smooth experience out of my laptop, not a lot of lag. Looking for 4GB of RAM (you can suggest 2GB if you've had good experience with it) and at least 500 GB of storage. I'll be using it for LibreOffice, web browsing (FB/YT/reddit) and streaming/torrenting. These are the ones I found:

Which one is better? If you can suggest better alternatives, that would be great! Thanks.
