LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

  • Country of purchase: United States

  • Budget range: Between $800 and $900, will consider more

  • Purpose (netbook, ultraportable, mainstream, gaming, desktop replacement, etc.): Mostly Gaming, college use, computer science major

  • Screen size preference: 15.6 inch

  • OS preference (Windows/Mac/Linux): Windows

  • Gaming requirements (example games and desired fps/settings): Can run games such as Skyrim, Killing Floor 2, Alien Isolation, The Forrest, Metal Gear Rising: Revengence, and most importantly GTAV at Medium/High settings at 60 fps

  • Other performance requirements (video editing, CAD, etc.): Photoshop, Illustrator, would like to be able to play 4K Videos

  • Brand preferences and reasons (already owned accessories, familiarity, business compatibility): I have two chargers that are compatible for my HP Pavilion Notebook DV6, not sure what else they are compatible with, but if I can't use them then it isn't a problem.

  • Any particular style that you like (examples are great): I enjoy sleek black design, solid colors. Don't really want anything too bulky, but this isn't a requirement

Which of the following qualities would you prefer? (Choose one, two, or balanced)

  • Long battery life -vs- Low weight -vs- High performance: High Performance

  • Build quality -vs- Low price -vs- High performance: High Performance, good build quality would be nice

  • Low noise/heat -vs- High performance: High Performance, low noise would be good too, and I have a cooling fan pad so heat isn't much of a big deal

Which features would you pay a premium for?

  • High resolution screen: Not necessary, fine with 1336x768

  • A great keyboard: Keyboard should be good, nice responsive buttons

  • A great touchpad/mouse buttons: I would like a multi-touch pad that uses gestures and such

  • Great audio: I usually use headphones

List any features that are critical:

An HDMI port and at least 3 USB ports

Gaming performance

1TB Hard Drive Space
