I'm going to be buying a laptop pretty soon and the one I am probably going to be going with is the Lenovo G500. However, if anyone can find me a better laptop for about the same price or about £50 more, that would be great.

Purpose (netbook, ultraportable, mainstream, gaming, desktop replacement, etc.): Mainstream, Small bit of gaming, Music Production
Screen size preference: 15 inch
OS preference (Windows/ Mac/ Linux): Windows
Gaming requirements (example games and desired fps/settings): 40 FPS on Minecraft; Playable settings on TF2, Gary's Mod. etc.
Performance requirements (video, CAD, etc.): Good enough to run FL Studio or Cubase, possibly some video editing.
Method of computer support (office supplier, college bookstore, self support): Self Support
Brand preferences and reasons (already owned accessories, familiarity, business compatibility): No Preference
