Post Body
**LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE**
* Country of purchase: USA
* Budget range: Most likely $1000 Maximum, I might be able to chip in ~100 more
* Purpose (netbook, ultraportable, mainstream, gaming, desktop replacement, etc.): Gaming, college programming, possibly streaming? But still portable enough to take overseas
* Screen size preference: 15" I guess? not a huge priority
* OS preference (Windows/ Mac/ Linux): Windows
* Gaming requirements (example games and desired fps/settings): WoW, League, TF2, all on near-max settings if possible, as well as the piles of games from Humble Bundle sitting in my steam library
* Performance requirements (video, CAD, etc.): Possibly Streaming? Other than that none.
* Method of computer support (office supplier, college bookstore, self support): Self-support
* Brand preferences and reasons (already owned accessories, familiarity, business
compatibility): No HP whatsoever. Have heard good thing about Lenovo and MSI? Also would be okay with off-brand if there's good reviews/support.
* Any particular style that you like (examples are great): Lit keyboards are a huge plus, as is more metallic/sleek casing, but I'm really not picky
* Which of the following qualities would you prefer? (Choose one, the other, or balanced)
* Long battery life -vs- Low weight: Battery Life.
* Build quality -vs- Low price: Quality
* Low noise/heat -vs- High performance: Performance, although not overheating would be nice too.
**Would you pay a premium for something that has:**
* High resolution screen: if it was significantly noticable
* A great keyboard: yes
* A great touchpad/mouse buttons: No, I use an external
* Great audio: No, I use external speakers
**List any features that are critical:** (e.g. Optical drive, USB 3.0, SD card slot, ethernet port, HDMI port, bluetooth, VGA port, removable battery, glossy screen, matte screen, etc.)
USB 3.0 would be nice. Ethernet, HDMI, and VGA are all important.
