Ctrl key must be on the bottom left, not the Fn key. Acceptable if it's an easy key switch on the BIOS (like Lenovo).

Prefer no OS, but any Windows is fine. Planning to install Win7pro so touch screen functionality I think is not necessary.

Not too picky on CPU/GPU/display type.

The Surface Pro 3 fits my reqs (minus the screen size and minus the fact that it's a tablet) and is under $1000 so I feel like there should be a laptop out there with similar specs and price as the Surface Pro 3.

Sager NP7338 seems decent, but the geforce gtx 860M seems like an overkill if I don't plan on gaming?

All the Lenovo/Thinkpads I have seen so far with my specs seem to run around the $1300 range.
