List any features that are critical: (e.g. Optical drive, USB 3.0, SD card slot, ethernet port, HDMI port, bluetooth, VGA port, removable battery, glossy screen, matte screen, etc.)
- Not a requirement but I like the idea of a hybrid laptop/tablet design.
I currently am using a dell xps m1330 which has been great for me for a long time but it's starting to have some small hardware issues and the monitor bevel is cracked and getting worse (I had to epoxy it). I'm basically looking for a newer version of this laptop that could possibly convert to a tablet.
With the xps I bought a 3 year accidental damage policy through dell which saved me after the motherboard died and a crash on my bike that would have totaled the laptop. I will probably be spending the money on this again but I noticed (from the website) acer doesn't have much in the way of protection.
