- Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:
Max. ~1300 USD/EUR, looking on eBay, located in Europe.
- Are you open to refurbs/used?
Sure, mainly looking for good condition used ones.
- How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?
Love the slim, and SIMPLE design laptops, not like the fancy looking, RGB bloated ones. For example, love the Galaxy Book, and MacBook designs. Premium build quality, high refresh rate display, with vivid colors, and long lasting battery is a must.
- How important is weight and thinness to you?
It is important, but not at all costs.
- Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A
14-16", but not really matters.
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
Yes, working in Solid Edge, Photoshop/Lightroom, and also doing some light gaming.
If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
Management games, like Cities series, love GTA IV-V, Fallout, CS2, etc. I can sacrifice some fancy settings for more FPS, currently running a Ryzen 5900HX, with RX5700, so would upgrade, not really would like the same, or less performance.
Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
Would love a simple design, like Galaxy Book3 Ultra (also need opinions about it, the 4070 model.) or HP Omen/Victus.
