I'm lookin for a laptop that can handle some mild video editing and music production. I also need good battery life because I will also be using this for school. My budget is around $1000. Thanks! Music production/video editing laptops?

  • Are you open to refurbs/used?

    -No

  • How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

    -I don't mind form factor any work. I'm looking for good battery life and good performance.

  • How important is weight and thinness to you?

    -I don't mind.

  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.

    -15" or below

  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

    -I will be using Adobe premier and after effects. I also do some light gaming hardest thing I'll run is Metro: Redux. I'm also going to be using Ableton.

  • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

    -I don't really have any preference I play mostly indie games.

  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
