I met a POT for coffee a week or so ago and we seemed to hit it off. He talked a lot about his money but more in a fun way than a trying to prove something way. Our texts were good at first after the meet up but dropped off after our schedules didn’t line up to meet again. He told me he gets too many messages to keep up with everyone so only the persistent ones end up being successful with him. I took that advice and checked in with him regularly and we finally chatted about the specifics of an ideal arrangement, all prompted by me. He agreed that all is do-able for him. We’re now working on schedules to see each other next. My question is that I have assurances that this guy is who he says he is. He doesn’t offer any specifics about himself (which understandable if he’s DL), but it also doesn’t make me feel super safe and he’s not really making any effort on this front. We probably would have just stopped talking if I hadn’t pushed for a second meet up so it’s feeling so one sided and passive. What’s the group’s read on this?
