How can subs address extreme behaviors? Dealing with discipline/consequences?

Post Body

This will be my first time subbing. I come from a teaching background where I was calling for security multiple times a day, calling parents constantly, doling out detentions... (I was still HEAVILY focused on positive narration and reinforcement, addressing 3 positives for every 1 negative, etc.)

My fear is that if behaviors escalate to a certain point while you are a substitute, that there won't be any way of addressing it since you're not really allowed to, and you don't even know their names.

What do you do as a sub to address extreme behaviors? What is within a substitutes rights?
