So to recap, a student in a 9th grade class made the allegation that I called them a bitch, which was a complete lie (hell, if I wanted to call someone a name, I’d be way more creative than that), I denied it, and I’m blocked from the school and have to do two online trainings on classroom management and deescalation techniques.
So last week I responded to HR’s email with this:
————-
I have to say I find this all very confusing, because I didn’t do anything wrong in the classroom that day: there was no incident, I did not call any student any name, there was nothing to de-escalate, but apparently I have no means to fight this decision. I feel like a decision had been made before I even heard there was an allegation.
What could I possibility do to defend myself from such allegations in the future? I know it is illegal to record the classroom, but I am open to suggestions. Or is there nothing I can do to actually defend myself in such a situation? Please advise.

This week is spring break, but I do know that HR is working this week, and of course six days after I sent the above, there’s been no response. Unless I get something from them, I can only conclude that there is nothing I can do to defend myself against any future allegations.
So if I were to apply for an actual teaching job, if they were to contact my current employer, they’d speak to HR, and I can’t help but feel that anything they would say would poison me in the view of any potential employer… hence my decision to look for something outside of teaching, preferably something that only involves actual adults.
