I've been subbing off and on for a month now, and had been getting a little bit discouraged because I couldn't seem to master the classroom management stuff. Yesterday I had a new experience, and subbed for a sped instructor in an elementary school. I think it might have single handedly refreshed my feeling for kids overall 🙂 .
It was without a doubt the most rewarding day I've had. Working with groups of one to five kids, on specific tasks, watching them learn words and feel proud of themselves was just heartwarming. I'm taking today off just to revel in the experience haha.
I heartily recommend it if you need a little bit of a break and a smile!!
