So this week I’ve been subbing at a prep school that has grades 6-12, and I try to just take high school jobs. Yesterday was a full day of all sixth graders and of course they acted like a bunch of idiots, every period. I decided to ignore as much as I could but during one period some of the boys were mock fighting each other and I didn’t stop them for a few minutes. Well one of the students video recorded that (leaving out my stopping it of course) and gave it to the principal (never mind that state law prohibits video recordings of anyone in the schools without express written consent) who pulled me in today to give me grief over it. Then as id that wasn’t enough, as I was leaving I overheard two teachers in the hallway talking about it, clearly unaware that I was the sub they were talking about!

Of course there’s no way for me to know which teacher has which grades unless I sub for them, so I’m going to just pass on their jobs for a while, and take jobs at the actual high schools instead.

Probably doesn’t matter in the long run anyway, I’m probably going to apply for a job with USPS anyway because this isn’t paying enough.
