Have any of you long terms or even short term sub encountered a shitty parent, Especially one that enables their child?
Well, yesterday I gave a one of my students a detention. He had been warned 3 times not to eat in class. Regular teacher has a strict no eating in class, except for class parties. And he had been warned to not be off task. He continued eating and to mess around. Which earned him a detention. Come today, I got to meet with his mom after school. The kid told his mom I only warned him twice, that I allow kids to eat in class (lie, kids usually stop eating when called out), and that the regular teacher does not have a rule about eating.
Luckily for me the principal has my back, she’s been a terror to the other staff in the past. She’s and her kid have pulled off the same shit in the past. Kid lies and the mom eats it up and causes a scene.
