Full post - OP has been unwittingly taking church donations meant for a homeless camp for.the.past year; he recently got caught and beaten up by an ~~irrational/violent homeless man. His comments seem to paint a somewhat different picture.

Also homeless people can and do contribute to the lives of people they interact with. There’s whole homeless communities and people at shelters, etc.

He's already been arrested, charged, arraigned, obtained the services of a lawyer, had pretrial meetings with said lawyer, had a trial, been convicted and sentenced to 5 years all in the space of less than a week?

It’s honestly beyond fishy. I believe that he got beat up because the image seems genuine, but I don’t believe the rest of his story for a second. Especially this “greasy fatso” he described. Classic making your opponent sound weak and strong at the same time. I honestly couldn’t even tell you if this event even happened, or if he just took the opportunity to rail against the evils of people down on their luck.

Dude it wasn’t about the fizzy tea. To you it was a case of fizzy tea, but to them you and that case of fizzy tea represented a year’s worth of stolen food, and a potential future of continuing stolen food. To you it’s a treat but to them it’s part of their livelihood.

It absolutely sucks that things turned out the way they did for you. I wish so much that he could have paused to listen to you and believe you, and maybe you could have given something back to the community in the future.
