Start stop lurches car forward even with brakes pressed

Is this a Subaru thing? No matter if I have the brake hold on or my foot pressed on the brake as far as it can go, when the engine turns back on the car creeps forward about an inch or two. No issues with my brakes, just got the car serviced at my local Subaru dealer and they said everything was normal with it. When I asked about the car creeping forward with the start stop the service person looked at me like I was crazy. Told me to just turn it off every time I get in the car which sucks. Never had this issue with any of my other cars that have had start stop.
