A not-at-fault wreck unfortunately totaled my 2018 Elantra back in June and I’m on the search for a new reliable vehicle.. I’m 25..
My heart is SET on a Subaru, Outback is probably more reasonable but the Ascent is my dream.. (Neither will happen for a really long time due to bad credit/debt consolidation just dreaming out loud).
Looking to have a real discussion, suggestions, do’s and don’ts.. what to look for when buying a used Subaru of any kind, potential payments/insurance costs with low credit or even decent credit say things get better. Mechanical issues often seen after a while?
Even though I felt forced into buying it, my Elantra was heaven, amazing MPG, easy maintenance because I kept up with my oil changes.. just fluid top offs and windshield wiper replacements.. one fender bender replaced the front bumper but she came back brand new again. It really was perfect and I would’ve kept it for a long time after being paid off. Now I’m hoping for a settlement in a few years and maybe a chance to get what I REALLY want.. if it’s what I really want after all..
