Post Body

There is no reason to believe that beating children is abuse. It is wrong. It is a form of abuse. It is wrong. No matter how badly a child is beaten in the United States, there is absolutely no reason to believe that this is the case in other countries, especially in the Third World.

I'm not saying that a child is in the wrong here. I'm not saying any punishment is okay at all. But I am saying that there is no reason to believe that a parent who beats their child is abusing that child.

A parent who beats a child can be the worst thing to happen to a child in the entire world. But a parent who beats a child in the United States and not in a third world country is going to be the worst thing to happen to a child in the entire world.
