I feel I am mostly submissive, with a little switch, but there's a part of me, in the back of my mind, that thinks:
"You have low self esteem. You struggle to consider yourself attractive and so cannot imagine yourself having the confidence to pursue a romantic/sexual relationship. Therefore, sexual fantasies require you to be pursued by someone confident and dominant enough to be forward about their attraction that you can't ignore/dismiss as you misinterpreting them as being interested in you. That bias makes you think about being submissive more often, making you think you're more submissive than you really are."
This isn't a huge problem. I do legitimately think I prefer subbing. But, it's something I think about often. Is this sort of thing common? Or am I just being too existential for my own good?
