Lenders Fee when financing at dealership

Hello! Buying a used car and they're making me finance through the dealership with an 8% interest rate to receive the price of the car they promised. All of a sudden they're claiming a ~800 - 1000 dollar lenders fee for my loan? Are these fees real and honest? Or even this high? Looking for what to come back with. TIA!
