In my program, you have multiple hoops to jump through. Two of them being: you have to pass the class with a 77% overall grade and your exam average has to be at least 77%. If that doesn’t happen and you fail a class once, it’s ok. Fail two classes and you have to sit out of the program for a year, then reapply.
I’m in two of the remaining four classes before graduation (which should be May 2021). I have already failed one class and retook it. I’ve done terrible on all the tests in my current Complex Adult Med Surg class and have a 75 test average. I talked with my teacher today and basically I have to get an 82 on the next test, 78 on the next quiz, and an 80 on the last test to put me at a 77. With my test history in this class, I have zero faith that I can pull off those grades.
Our drop date is next Friday. We are taking the next test Friday morning to see where we stand and can drop if need be. I feel so defeated. This puts me back a whole year from now. I won’t graduate until December 2021.
