A question for rn to bsn nurses
Post Body

I just finished my adn and just passed my nclex. As jobs in my state tend to heavily prefer bsn, I decided to go back immediately. I'm 36 so I didn't want to wait a year or two. It took me over ten years to go back last time! I am still trying to figure out if I should just stay at my job for another 2 years (minimal mental effort, regular schedule, flexible supervisor) or try to find a new job. I'm in no hurry to decide though.

My question to those currently in or completed rn to bsn, how is (was) the bsn part in comparison to finishing your rn? Is it more or less stressful? Is it more difficult? What are your overall thoughts?

Also, what are your thoughts on trying to start a new job while going back? Is it too much? Ideally, I'd like to do 3-12 hour or 4-10 hour shifts. Is it too much?
