In my first semester of nursing school, I was dealing with a really troubling depression (just worse than usual) and then the last week of the semester, the world shuts down due to COVID. Halfway through my second semester, I need a few days of the hospital and emergency gallbladder surgery right around midterms. I have massive guilt about not spending enough quality time with my only child, and I recently ended the relationship with her father but we are roommates for now and trying to peacefully coparent (until the lease is up in a year).
Long story short- I've had to move, quit, restart, or give up on nursing school many times- but this time I am NOT. I might just be a 'B' student, but this is me trying my best, during such trying times, trying to be a good parent, losing weight for RNY surgery, and stay sane!
Proud of myself, and thankful for this sub! Most people don't get it.
