Super high interest vs principal, normal?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I have sallie mae loans that Iām paying around 680 on (and increasing every month) but immediately after payment I get hit with another 650 in accrued interest. Is it normal that my monthly payments are so high when only 30 or so is going towards my principal?
