Alright, I've seen posts about how MOHELA is now under a lawsuit that I personally brings this company to its knees before going under. I've now had three payments get "reversed." I received an email that said to contact my banking institution. My bank representative stated that the company never put these payments through (we're talking over $2k). MOHELA is now saying that I will be contact by a creditor, even though the next payment is not due until 11/20/24.
So Reddit, I need help and guidance:
Has anyone had this happen and gotten anywhere with customer service? So far I can't get anyone on the phone.
My loan according to StudentAid.gov reports my loan is $1100 less that what MOHELA has reported. Has anyone had these discrepancies and what can be done?
I'm so fed up that I'm considering switching to private lenders like SoFi. However, the interest rate is a bit more than what I have now. Has anyone made the private switch?
Thank you!
Lord I hope MOHELA is put out of business the way they screw people.
