Does deferment remove me from the SAVE plan?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I was enrolled in the income based repayment program.$0 payment based on my income.
I started school again in January and my loans automatically went into deferment. Does deferment remove me from the SAVE plan? I’d rather be on the SAVE plan than deferment and I don’t want to lose the plan because I was put in deferment.
