There's no current info available about real forgiveness beyond what's available on Google, as things have more or less been put before the courts.

The government does suggest that applying is still the right call, as long as the application remains open.
The administration has also extended the payment hold, which you can read about here or their website. Short summary: "Payments will resume 60 days after the debt cancellation program is implemented, 60 days after the lawsuits are resolved or 60 days after June 30, if litigation fails."
