Soreness remedy for a new comer
Post Body

So I haven't lifted since high school (17 years ago). Started last Thursday with SL. Squats wrecked my legs. So painful and did not let by Saturday. I went ahead and went to the gym. Tried adding 5lbs. (So at the 50lbs recommended weight.) I could only do 2 sets of 4 in good form because of the soreness. So I went to the squat machine and did 3 sets of 5. I know the machine is no substitute but I couldn't get my thighs parallel with the bar. Took 2 day rest and will go back tomorrow. It wasn't the weight it was just the soreness wouldn't allow me to do it in good form. So what are some tips for soreness when first starting out? I've read portion, sleep and ice. Also going to look into getting a foam roller. Any tips to for a noob?
