Soreness day after stretching/how long should I rest?

Hello everyone!

I recently began stretching daily as part of a new routine I would like to have for myself. This week I’ve been doing a lot of straddling stretching & hamstring/quad stretches. I’m feeling pretty tight/sore & was wondering if this is something I should push through or should I take a break for a couple of days. Is there anything I can do to help with the tightness other than epson salt baths?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you :)
