Is a bad idea to stretch when pierced with a gun?

Back in June, I got my ears pierced at Claire’s with guns,I’d like to stretch them eventually (I know you’re supposed to wait 6 months),but I was wondering if it could be more risky. I had some issues with my right ear for a while but they both seem pretty good now (although slightly sensitive).
