Cant get double flared plugs in ears after 2 years of last stretch

So my last stretch was about 2 years ago at 00g im sure I have blowouts so im guessing that’s the cause but is there anything I can do to help? I want to stretch to 7/16 or half an inch not sure yet but if I cant even get most of my double flared plugs in should I even bother getting a kit and try to stretch rn? I mostly wear a pair of glass single flare plugs, take them out in the shower to clean my lobes and I still moisturize everyday
