Stremio is AMAZING and plays virtually everything I throw at it first time. My goto fix is always, try another stream.
I've found occasionally my player will buffer for a bit then jump to using VLClib player and carry on from there. Rarely but occasionally Stremio will actually crash (only on my TCL TV). I think sometime's there a glitch in the (Matrix?) stream or it's in a codex that one part of the process doesn't like. As I say... Try another stream.
Usually the next most likely issue is my own broadband / network / WiFi crapping out.
Third option is the tried and tested "switch it off, wait a bit, switch it on again".
Wait... Did my RD subscription run out?
Failing that...Clear cache.
If it's a weird stutter or audio timing issue I might head off into the Settings and mess with them for a while. Make a note of what you change. Change one thing at a time first. What helps what doesn't?
Do the same with your player (fire stick, android TV box, phone, carrier pigeon, VCR etc)
Do the same with your actual TV if you're playing it into one from a widget as above.
If none of that helps... Search this forum, someone has had the problem before and there will be a solution (probably).
If all that doesn't help... Maybe I'll...
Uninstall / Reinstall... (Ball ache but nothing compared to say Kodi 😭😱)
And finally...
Cry a bit.
Ask r/Stremio. The Devs are awesome and usually help is on its way.
Meanwhile... There's always terrestrial, or you could go outside into that great big ball of light and get some vitamin D. X
P.S and this is the most important bit... A MASSIVE THANK YOU to the developers for Stremio which even a dinosaur like me can use relatively trouble free with the emphasis on free. ❤️❤️
