More of a rant than a question.
I decided to get into fighting games with SFV being my first. I'm extremely new (played about 200 matches) and seem to just keep getting killed in matchmaking. I thought it was eventually going to balance out and give me closer opponents to my skill level but everyone i face destroys me. even other rookie level players seem to pull off combos that do over half my life and i can't even come close to putting together a combo. I really want to get good at this game, but i don't want to have to sit in training mode every time i get on to play and its very disheartening and difficult to learn when you hardly get to play against other people online.
Has anyone else had a similar experience as me, if so what helped you? I feel like anyone coming into this game with no background in it is just going to give up after being destroyed every match they play online.
my ladder points are always at zero and its killing my motivation to keep playing
I started off learning ryu, and now only play akuma. Am i just playing a character way too high level for me right now? I also play on PC with the d-pad for my xbone controller. Am i doing anything wrong that i should change to help myself out?
