Is Street Fighter 2 V considered canon?

I've always wanted to watch the SF2V anime and I'm just now starting it.
Curious if it's considered canon. Halfway through the first episode and Ryu, at 17, I guess used to work for a guy that would cut down trees?
Plus, how insanely rich 17 year old Ken is!! I know Ken comes from a wealthy family but it being a 20 minute drive from the entrance of his front yard to his actual house is insane! Lol
