Hi all. Iโve been following this group ever since I started feeding a few stray kittens and older cats around our apartment complex. I especially bonded with this little orange kitten who trusted me the most and would play while I sat close to him. We went on vacation and someone was able to catch him and took him to a nearby animal shelter. I contacted the shelter and they said heโs having a hard time adjusting, but coming around. They asked if I was interested in adopting and I said yes! I will likely need to foster first and get him checked at the vet and neutered before officially adopting him.
My question is โ how can I make him feel comfortable inside my home? He knows my voice and the bells on our door (that meant dinner time). We also have a very sweet older dog and kids. I would of course want to keep everyone safe and not overwhelm the kitten.
Iโve never had a cat before, so any tips would be much appreciated! I love him very much already.
