Advice needed: Garmin Forerunner 255 or Venu 2

Hi all
I've narrowed down my options to buy a FR255 or the Venu 2 (based on price point). My concerns are that maybe the FR255 is too high spec for my needs (2 runs per week, 1 swim, 3-4 weight sessions). While the Venu 2 might be too low spec and focussed more on being a lifestyle/smart watch than a fitness/GPS watch. All advice is welcome!
