I started taking 40mg/day of Strattera in mid October and didn't really notice anything. The only thing I realized was that I was able to focus a bit more and was more irritable. I finished my months worth of Strattera and forgot to reschedule a follow up appointment with my psychiatrist, so I stopped taking it for about a week or two. That's when I started noticing my anxiety being more prevalent and the noise coming back. My sister had asked me how I was feeling before I stopped taking the medication and I honestly couldn't tell her how I felt because I wasn't feeling anything. I explained to her that I didn't have constant thoughts or worries. I realize now that the medication was working. Yes I had the nausea but it wasn't that bad. Now my psychiatrist upped my dosage to 60mg and I'm back on, the first day I took the new dosage I felt so nauseous I actually threw up and felt extremely tired. I hope it gets better because now I also have this weird awful taste at the back of my mouth that makes things taste weird.
I would feel nausea my first two weeks of this medication and the first week I raised my dosage. Having a meal before or after you take your medication helped in my experience.
