Dear Strasbourg inhabitants I write here seeking some information, even some tips into the rental market of the city.

I will be start working there on the 13/09. And currently seeking a place to stay (apartment) and having no luck. The neighborhood is Neudorf, closer to parks, Esplanade or leaning towards the center.

My employer will make all the arrangements and foot the bill of rental costs. It is a portuguese entity, and I believe that is where problem start. Several contacts have been performed, and there is never feedback or just plain refusal. I have also replied to different ads and did not receive any kind of feedback. Both from private advertising or real state agencies.

Most probably the housing solution will come from the other side of the border, albeit not my favourite one.

We have been using mostly leboncoin for the search. Would you recommend different ones? Any tips or hints you can provide which will increase the success? In a cry for the moon maybe someone has some contacts in the real estate and are able to help.

Anyway..just hoping to receive some feedback...I was definitely not expecting to have such stress finding accommodation.
