With the new season (apparently) just over a year away from our screens, I figured it's not too early to start talking about it!
IMO Season 3 was great, a bit of an improvement on S2 which is a positive sign as it shows S1 wasn't a total fluke. For Season 4 though I hope they move away from gradually upping the stakes and put out a slightly more laid back, character-driven series. I'd like to see more of the sibling relationships, a bit more Will/Jonathan and Mike/Nancy wouldn't go amiss. I also think they need to shake the groups up a bit to keep things fresh. The more unexpected the better. Joyce and Murray was fun, and it'd be nice to see Steve "adopting" Eleven now Hopper isn't around. It's certainly implied he interacts with the other kids on a regular basis, but we didn't see it on screen.
I'd quite like to see the Upside-Down being explored a bit more, and perhaps even other alternate dimensions. S3 appeared to show doppelgangers of Hawkins residents, which I thought was quite a intriguing concept. Perhaps more experiments could be shown that introduce another supernatural threat unrelated to the Upside-Down. We still don't know what happened to test subjects 1-10 (except Kali), or indeed whether there are more beyond 11? Whilst I don't want them to go full X-Men, I quite like the idea of a character with similar abilities to El but without the ability to control it.
What would everybody else like to see?
