[POTENTIAL SPOILERS]: I have seen lots of conspiracies and theories coming up after the finale, as I’m sure all of you have. Going off of the recent popular narrative of a new, real finale episode coming out today:
What if, this November 6th, they released a new finale from the perspective of another character or two, officially creating what is known as Stranger Things Day. The one that was released on new years was Mike’s perspective. Then repeated every year until 2033 (50th anniversary of Will’s taking) when the “real finale” comes out. When this one comes out it can show the town 50 years after and how they either actually beat Vecna/MF Or didn’t. This is also the reason it took a year of filming to complete this season. They shot all of it now to release later, with many of the scenes being somewhat similar so it didn’t add that much extra time to filming, but more than other seasons.
It would be 9 episodes (with today’s supposed release), following and wrapping up the 8-9-8 sequence of the series. It could show how Vecna and the mind flayer were able to control every main character after Chapter 4. We only see Will’s powers after Mike is knocked out in C4. He is coping with the situation he was in immediately before being knocked out. I’m pretty sure it is Vecna’s first physical time in the real world in that scene. This was Vecnas final assault on Hawkins and merging of the dimensions, that’s why we actually see demos coming into Hawkins freely, not in secrecy like before.
It’s fun coming up with these ideas. I really enjoyed the final season and finale, but do agree some questions weren’t answered, which I am ok with. Feel free to add anything you think would support a theory like this. It’s not happening so reality can be twisted a bit, but stay within reason!
