Boden prog 7 tremolo question

Pulling up on the tremolo, I can't go nearly as high as my ibanez. I can maybe pull the notes a whole step up, and then it's blocked. Is that normal? It's not a terribly big deal, it works great otherwise. It could be to keep me from breaking a string. Tuning stability has been great.
I saw a video of strandberg explaining a trem problem, that the screw underneath is not glued. I don't think that is the problem and I also don't want to unstring the whole thing to check.
