Anyone else struggle with accepting that a straight guy is actually interested in you and doesn’t have some nefarious intent?
Post Body

Like sometimes I’ll be talking to a guy on a dating app who engages me in conversation about shared interests, seems to be attracted to and interested in me, and asks me on a date all without any particularly big red flags or signs of being a chaser. And instead of being elated at this I find myself stewing in paranoia that this can’t possibly be real: what if this is a catfish for some 60 y/o chaser? What if he’s secretly super transphobic and just trying to lure me out to hate crime me? It’s like I’m so used to these guys liking me right up until they actually read my profile and realize I’m trans that I struggle to believe anything else is impossible, so this must be some trick or cruel prank
