Been running into this lately on typical swipe based apps like Tinder and Bumble: I appear to have hit a point in my transition where I look good and passing enough that I get a ton of likes from men (the likes counter is always sitting at the max number), and I even match with a good number of cute guys. But inevitably it always goes one of two ways afterwards as they either unmatch once they read my bio and realize I’m trans, or they just never message me. Even if I send the first message and trying to strike up a conversation about something in their bio, I basically never get a response and am just left with a graveyard of cold matches
Is this just what dating is gonna be from now on? Thousands of men seeing me as hot enough to activate the “would fuck, swipe right” parts of their brain but being ineligible dating material for 99% of them because of who I am? This is honestly more discouraging than using the apps pre-transition and just never getting matches was. How do you girls deal with it without going crazy or just wanting to give up on dating altogether?
