For the past few months, I have been working on my story about a freshman girl who gains her powers from a demon and still hope to make a cartoon or comic of this story at some point in my life. I’m still working on this story, and I haven’t really settled on anything yet, so even the title, Inner Demons, is just like a working title. Anyway, here is the plot that I have been working on for the first episode.

We open on a chase sequence between a few police cars pursuing a sleek black car. After a few minutes of chasing, the culprit who was in the car, escaped, only to be gunned down by two police officers, only we see him open his eyes after a few seconds. We cutaway to Camila Ramirez, a 15 year old girl, who is adjusting to her new high school life while also trying to deal with her crush on a slightly more popular girl, Taylor. We also see our demon protagonist, Rezrel, readjusting to being back on Earth after escaping, while also on a mission, looking for another demon. Later that day, after Camila helps her dad with his restaurant business, she goes outside to wait in his car while he finishes up. She hears and then sees police cars chase after what looks like two bikers, but brushes it off. A few seconds goes by and we see Rezrel chasing after them and then notices Camila outside. Realizing he would need a host to fight against other demons, he possess her, and together, they combine into their newly founded vigilante self, fitted with a suit, cloak, and wrist gauntlets. Camila regains focus and realizes her clothes have changed and her voice has deepened. Rezrel attempts to talk to Camila in her mind, telling her to chase after those bikers. After a few minutes of confusion, Camila does so and sprints faster than human she’s known after the bikers. Soon they come across these bikers ready to harm the police officers and Rezrel tells Camila to summon some sort of weapon from her gauntlets. Camila, obviously confused, doesn’t know how and is only able to summon a blade the size of a butter knife. Using what they can and Rezrels fighting abilities, they takes down these bikers and Rezrel tries to interrogate them, but gets no useful information from them. Finally, Camila is instructed to stab them, and once she does, she notices the blade doesn’t pierce the bikers, but rather goes through them, releasing the demons from the bikers. Camila notices that police officers have been watching the whole time and runs away, jumping onto a roof, overlooking her city. Rezrel departs from her body and tries to explain to Camila that he is from Mykonos, a world much like Hell, and that he needs Camila help to find a demon and send him behind back to Mykonos. Camila is hesitant at first but before she can make a decision, she notices a sketchy man enter a gas station. Camila and Rezrel suit back up to intervene and are able to stop this man from hurting the elderly cashier. Later the night, Camila and Rezrel are in Camilas room and make a deal: If Camila helps Rezrel find this demon, he has to make sure that no one innocent is hurt and that once he finishes his job, they go their separate ways. Rezrel agrees to these terms and both rest for the night.

That’s what I’m working with on the first episode and I might ending up making this a possible 12 episode kind of series.
